February Weather

It has been an exceptionally dry and warm winter this year. When we arrived on 5^th February we got the sun-loungers out straight away and relaxed in the sunshine, and most unusually, we had to put the irrigation system on while we were there and I’ve put specialist citrus fertiliser on the lemon tree already. The garden is more advanced than it really should be at this time of year – the new almond tree is already covered in blossom, the vines are starting to sprout new leaves, there are new figs, the spring flowers are blooming and the kumquat has a very generous crop of fruit. When we visit at Easter with the car I’ll be picking some to make marmalade with.
